Customize your share and store expansion!

Have you ever wanted an extra bunch of kale for that potluck you forgot about? Or maybe an extra bunch of radishes because they’re just so good this time of year!

Now you have more options to bring home more vegetables each week through our expanded store offerings! Read on below for the details of how this works.

Each week we will have a "Base Share" of 5-7 items, depending on your share size, that are rigid or cannot be modified. You will be given credits to add "Flex Items," which are items that you have free choice to add to your share. The number of credits you get depends on your share size. Small Share members get two credits; Full Share members get four credits.

Let's work through what this will look like for you. Let's say you have a Small Share and it's the beginning of the summer season. You receive an email from us that informs what will be in your Base Share:

  • Salad turnips

  • Kale

  • Radishes

  • Lettuce

  • Broccoli

The email also includes the Flex Items you can choose from:

  • Arugula

  • Spinach

The Store has available:

  • Green onions (scallions)

  • Chard

  • Collard greens

  • Beets

With this information, you can then log in to your Farmigo account and select items you want to sub for the Flex Items, from the store. As a Small Share CSA member, you have two credits to use. In this example, you decide to use your credits to select green onions and chard from the store.

If you’d like more than your allotted number of items that come with your share, you can purchase more within the store as well! Each item costs $4 (whether that be a bunch of greens, a pound and a half of potatoes, a head of broccoli).

The system will charge you the total dollar amount for anything additional you put in your cart after deciding on your Flex items. There is an option to pay with credit card at this point, or the total can be added to your CSA payment if you do that in installments or you can send us a check after the season with the total.

We want you to have access to all that the farm can offer! In past years the store was mainly used for the Flex items so there wasn’t a huge amount available. We received feedback from our end-of-season survey last year that people want the option to get more vegetables on top of their share every once and a while. This is our answer, and we hope it works for you all!
