Updated: May 6, 2022

RAIN OR SHINE. THE FARM TOUR IS *ON* FOR TOMORROW, MAY 7TH.

Planned for the day is an interactive and insightful Farm Tour with Farmer Mike of One Acre Farm and numerous activities in which you and your family can learn about local agriculture, composting, beekeeping, our natural landscape, and MORE!

Pack a picnic to enjoy after the tour or Foodies Farms and Friends will be firing up the grill and will have food available for purchase. You're welcome to BYOB, as well. We'll have crafts and a bouncy house for the kids, music playing, and various opportunities to learn and have fun.

The Compost Crew will be giving tours of their super impressive composting outpost facility on the farm, as well as leading attendees in interactive and educational games all about composting.

Honey Effects Apiary will have a beekeeping demonstration and have local honey for sale.

Community FarmShare will be there with information on how to help food insecure families in Montgomery County.

The Audubon Naturalist Society of Chevy Chase will be leading a nature walk through the back woods (about 10 acres!) of One Acre Farm. Examine all the native and non-native species back there, see if you can find any wildlife, and learn about the benefits of keeping spaces forested.
