Spaghetti Squash, Brussel Greens, and Okra

Spaghetti Squash

Spaghetti squash is a winter squash that is very unique. Cut in half and you will see seeds just like a pumpkin. Scoop out the seeds and roast. Then, once the squash as completely cooked through, you can take a fork and scrape away the flesh of the squash. The flesh of the squash resembles spaghetti! Hence, the name.

Recipes:

Brussel Sprout Greens

Brussel sprouts grow in a very unique way, along the stalk of the plant. In order for the most energy and nutrients to be put into creating those little buds, we need to "prune" the plant. We remove the lower leaves from the stalk, so all the energy of the plant is directed to the sprouts.

These leaves are what is in your bag! They are delicious and taste exactly like brussel sprouts yet in a different form.

You can cook them like you would kale or collards.

Banana Peppers

Banana peppers are a staple on any Domino's pizza or an Italian sub. They are very slightly spicy.

You can pickle them or chop them up and add them to a roast or stir-fry. You could also add them as a condiment to hot dogs, burgers, or really anything!
