You have the power!

We sent out a survey - we always want to be the best we can be and we appreciate your input.

But some people (like 3, but still it’s enough to send us into a tizzy) had some gripes about last year's CSA season and we’re just hearing about them. What the heck?!

So, we realized, it ain’t clear to our lovely CSA folks THE POWER YOU HAVE. We’re not some Amazon sort of company. One Acre Farm is TWO PEOPLE (plus those fine four folk that tend the fields and harvest and weed but don’t have to deal with surveys and emails and such) that are available with the touch of a screen or push of a button and extremely interested in you having a great experience.

LET US KNOW. You have that power. We can help you identify that veggie in real time! Let us know when you have a question or concern. Don't wait a whole year to inform us! After all, fresh veggies are perishable.

You can always send us an email. Charlotte happens to be very friendly and is more than happy to answer any questions or concerns. And Farmer Mike, although he’s a curmudgeon, he actually really cares and is more than willing to help. We want you to be happy with this experience. Don’t be shy.

Enough about your power. Now read what we’re doing to make sure you have a wonderful experience.

  1. As the fantastic 60 members already in our winter share know, we send out a “potential produce list” at the beginning of each week, listing out what they are highly likely to receive. This allows meal prep and planning. Yay! We all need more of that.

  2. Also, these great little lists have recipes for using those more perplexing vegetables like turnips… Our CSA Facebook group is also a great place to get inspiration.

  3. AND, we send out storage tips for adequately storing your vegetables and ensuring they stay fresh as long as possible. You can see examples of this on our blog.

  4. Lastly, if you ever receive something that doesn't seem up to snuff, you can always email us and we will give you something special or extra the next week to make up for it. If you don't email us, we won't know!

We can’t give you everything that you desire, but we’re going to try our best for you to have a successful and delicious CSA season.

We hope you join us for the best season, yet.

Winter Farm Conferences Recap!

As you maybe read in a recent email, we attended two farming conferences in the month of January. Winter tends to be the time when all the agriculture conferences get planned since it also tends to be

Quiet but mighty

This time of year on the farm is characterized by slow movements, muted color palettes, and quiet growth. That is except for the three high tunnels we have chock full of vibrant green vegetables that
