Broccoli Storage Tips

Because here at One Acre Farm we do not spray pesticides or fungicides or any sort of chemical or synthetic, we're bound to encounter a bug or two every once in a while on our produce. When the produce looks beautiful, even when grown in a natural non-toxic way, you know the plant is extremely healthy and was able to fight off most pests or diseases using their own defenses.

If you encounter a pesty bug on your produce, simply add a drop or two of dish soap to a large bowl and fill with room temperature water. Place the broccoli in the water+soap bath and watch as any pests float to the top. Drain the water and rinse the broccoli under cold water. The broccoli should be free of any bugs.

To store in your fridge, place in a plastic bag and keep in the chiller drawer of your fridge.
